To close your account, you will need to liquidate all of your positions and withdrawal all your funds. After you have made the withdrawal and the funds have landed in your bank account, then send our accounts team an email at accounts@tastyworks.com. Please provide a reason for closing your account and include the account number in your email.

On the other hand, if you need to step away temporarily, then you can leave your account open and unfunded. We do not charge inactivity fees. That way, if you're ready to come back, you can quickly fund your account without having to go through a new account application.
 

Lastly, if you are looking to transfer your account from tastyworks to another broker, then you will need to initiate an Automated Customer Account Transfer Service (ACATS) transfer from the receiving broker. Any account performing a full outgoing ACATS transfer from tastyworks will close the account.
