The tastyworks trading platform is designed for SPX order entry to assign price steps in increments of .05 when premiums are less than $3 and .10 for premiums greater than or equal to $3 (except for spreads which trade in .05 increments). tastyworks allows the price field to be modified by the user as there may be times when the CBOE makes changes to the minimum pricing increments and locking in these programmed pricing steps would prevent order entry.

Orders entered with a price that the CBOE does not accept will be canceled or rejected by the CBOE execution broker. This means an SPX order that is not in a .05 or .10 increment as described above may be rejected. You will receive a message on the trading platform, "U R Out" indicating that your order has been cancelled in this event.
