Establishing an ACH relationship between your tastyworks account and your bank account facilitates the electronic transfer of funds. There is no additional cost to transfer funds by ACH. Only U.S.-based (domestic) bank accounts can be linked to your tastyworks accounts.

Brokerage-to-brokerage ACH relationships are not supported.

Step 1

Start by signing in to

First, sign in to your account at or for a shortcut, click here. To set up an ACH relationship, navigate to My Money and click Deposits.

Step 2

Next, click Link Your Bank Account. If you have multiple tastyworks accounts, you must choose which one you intend to fund.

Step 3

Instant Linking System (Plaid) 

First, locate or search for your bank in the list provided. Afterward, enter the username and password for your bank account, and follow the steps until you receive confirmation that your account has successfully linked. However, if your bank is not listed, then please proceed to Option #2 below.

Manually Linking (verifying via micro-deposits)

If your bank is not listed, then you will need to enter your bank information manually. To manually link your bank account select I CAN'T FIND MY BANK (illustrated above). You'll be able to enter your bank's routing number, account number, etc., as shown below. Only checking accounts can be manually linked. This entire process is illustrated in the video above. Once you submit your bank information, two small deposits (called Micro-Deposits) will be made into your bank account by Apex Clearing. This is done to establish the link between your bank and brokerage accounts, and it can take 1 to 3 business days for the micro-deposits to land. Deposits made with an account linked manually are held for 4 business days before the funds are available for trading. To learn more about this policy, please click here. When this process is complete, return to the My Deposits page and verify the request for an ACH relationship by confirming the exact amounts deposited into your bank account. To view our cut-off times, please click here.

tastyworks only allows you to maintain one ACH relationship per account at any given time. If you already have an ACH established and would like to change it, you must visit the Deposits page and cancel your current ACH before you are permitted to add a new one.

Third Party Errors

Please remember that tastyworks does not accept third party funding of any kind. For ACH relationships, this means that the name on the bank account must match the name on the tastyworks account exactly. For example, you could receive a "third-party" error if your bank account includes a middle initial or suffix that is not listed on your tastyworks account, or vice-versa.
